HERALD SUN RACING Tipster News

16/11/21 Racing Tipster of the week

There were some familiar faces at the top of the leaderboard this week, with some big statements made across the country. Funnily enough it was one horse which caused the bookies most pain, with 5 of the top 10 tipping the $10 pop. Best horse racing tipsters this week   Climbing to the top of the summit this week was veteran form analyst Graeme Carey.  There was plenty of value on offer for followers of the Racenet tipster, as he steered punters into Anarchy at Ipswich paying $7.70 and Salateen at Doomben paying $6.80. A very tidy 190% POT for Carey.   Daniel Pryor was the next cab off the rank, after having a fill-up at Cranbourne. The WA local found 4 winners on the standalone Melbourne Saturday racing card, including $10 pop King Magnus who took out the feature event. That effort came on the quick back-up, following a horse racing tip to write home about at Bendigo on Wednesday. Plenty would have been thinking Pryor was speaking in Swahili when he tipped the namesake at the $20 quote in Race 2.   Clearly not, as the Danny O'Brien trained colt got the job done on debut.   Securing third position this week was SEN racing analyst Andrew Slevison. He found 3 winners accross Cranbourne and Newcastle on Saturday to drive 163% POT.  Slevison also managed to unearth King Magnus, to round out a cracking day for the Melbourne based tipster. King Magnus salutes in the Cranbourne Cup   Gilbert Gardner was in the mix once again, with his 16 tips for the week yielding an impressive 141% POT. Surprise, surprise, it was that horse again, King Magnus, who was on Gardner's hit list, leading one to think that the bookies clearly missed something in the form.  The Herald Sun racing journalist was running hot after filling up at The Valley on Friday night, tipping 4 winners on the 8 race card. He's now showing 32% over the last 30 days from 79 tips.   Speaking of running hot, Pro Punter Josh Shields is deadset flying! He was in the money once again this week, with 2 winners at Cranbourne including yes you guessed it, that horse again. That made it 5 straight winning weeks for the Victorian tipster, who's had a Spring carnival to remember. Josh Shields is seeing them like beach balls   Nick Wildman was the fifth tipster in the top 10 to find the Cranbourne Cup winner.  That was one of five winners he found on the card, which also included Chartres in Race 3 paying $9.00. It was a big week for the Englishman who will be hoping his countrymen can return the urn this Summer!   We're continuing on the theme of the UK, as a Scotsman also made big waves this week. No doubt inspired by Scotland's inspiring win against the Wallabies at Murrayfield, Malad1 found 3 winners from 11 tips, 2 of which came at Angers in France. He would've been laughing all the way to the bank after Madison Avenue greeted the judge at $14.40.   Harness and Greyhound Tipsters of the Week Veteran Pro Punter Roy Sundborg was the top Harness tipster of the week, with a winner to make your eyes water.  He steered punters into $23 pop Heavenly Wisdom at Penrith on Thursday. Demonstrating how his Pro Punter title is no fluke, Roy boasts 12% POT from over 1,700 tips placed at theGreatTipOff since 2010. He's an absolute gun.   Duncan Dornauf was also on song, steering punters into 4 winners at Davenport at an average price of $4.25.   Turning to Greyhounds now and it was Mosse who stole the show once again.  Fans of the theGreatTipOff will know this tipster well, given she's been tipping on the site since 2013. The Inverleigh resident's 13 Greyhound tips for the week generated a 114% POT and incredibly, she now sits on a 15 day winning streak!  Follow her here to keep the streak going.

11/10/20 Best Horse Racing Tipsters for October

There were some sensational tipping performances in October, led by a popular punter who walked away with the gold in both categories. Outside of this ripping effort, another pro punter also featured on both the highest cash profit and highest Profit on Turnover (POT) podiums. While these punters where firing, some well-known media experts also showed their class in October.  Read on to discover all the top performances in horse racing's biggest month of the year.   Best Horse Racing Tipster: Highest Cash Profit One of the most well known punters here at theGreatTipOff.com is Tezzaraki, and his profile will only grow after this latest effort. The Moreton Bay local has been entering his tips since all the way back in 2013, making him one of the veterans on the site. October would have to go down as one of his best monthly performances yet, after his tips generated a monster $12,440 in cash profit from $100 win bets. This was thanks to 21 winners at a fat average price of $12.64. The definite standout came on the 18th, where Tezzaraki steered all his followers into Fighting Commando at his nearby Sunshine Coast racecourse. This roughie got home at enormous $130 odds, in what was the tip of the month. Tezzaraki bags a rough one in the Sunshine Coast   Also making a stack and securing the silver medal in the process was Perth punter Claresy1977. He bagged no less than 58 winners in October, at juicy average odds of $8.28. This generated a whopping cash profit of $10,930 from $100 win bets. He's one to keep your eye on with the Perth Summer Carnival just around the corner.   Rounding out the cash profit podium with a hefty haul of $9,210 was ArrestedDevelopment.  The October sun was certainly shining on this Sunshine Coast resident after he jagged 8 winners at a huge average price of $25.14. He made his in-roads right at the tail end of the month, with $55 winner Smuggler coming at Traralgon on the 31st. That was a day after he bagged these two thumping winners at the Valley on the 30th. Not a bad way to round out the month.   An honourable mention has to go to the Telegraph's Ray Thomas.  The paper's leading racing journalist and form analyst, Thomas tipped a mind-blowing 156 winners in October. This led to almost $7K in cash profit for punters who followed all of Thomas's tips with $100 bets. Unlike most media tipsters who focus on particular tracks or jurisdictions, Thomas provides his tips at multiple racecourses around NSW as well as interstate.  This makes his enormous cash profit all the more impressive.  Best Horse Racing Tipster: Highest POT As mentioned earlier, Tezzaraki did the double in October, after also finishing up with the month's highest profit on turnover. The Queenslander's 88% POT saw him claim the month's top prize of $500. Remember, this monthly competition is eligible to all punters who enter at least 30 tips. And after placing 141 tips during October, Tezzaraki certainly ticked the eligibility box. Best Horse Racing tipsters for October by POT   Earning the runner's up prize of $250 was pro punter GamblingMan. This bloke got in on the minimum, after placing exactly 30 tips in October. Seven of them saluted at a meaty average price of $7.90 to return a fat 85% POT. As good as his October effort was, GamblingMan is also showing an impressive record over the past 90 days. The South Australian has now notched up over $5K in cash profit over this period. Outstanding stuff. GamblingMan's impressive 90 day tipping stats   ArrestedDevelopment bagged his second bronze of the month after also finishing third in the POT category. His tips drove a POT of 84.5%, less than a quarter of a percentage behind GamblingMan's 84.67% POT. There was hardly a hair's breadth separating these two, but it was ArrestedDevelopment who just came up short. He still did enough however to pick up the third-place prize of $125. Not a bad consolation.   Best Media Experts by POT Media Outlet Tipster Winning Tips POT Nic Ashman 12 79% Chynna Marston 10 58% Mitchell Hamilton 11 49% Glenn McFarlane 29 47% Jason Richardson 8 44%   It was a cracking month from the Racing.com team, led by mounting yard presenter and form analyst Nic Ashman.  Ashman's consistency went to a new level in October, with his winners booting home at a strike rate of 36%. Considering that they were also saluting at an enviable average price of almost $5, it was a very impressive showing. Demonstrating how good a touch he's in, Ashman's tips have yielded just shy of 37% POT over the past 30 days. Nic Ashman is seeing them well   Coming in next was SKY Racing presenter and form judge Chynna Marston. The ex-hoop was all over the races in southern NSW, steering her followers into 10 winners from just 28 selections. This generated a bumper 58% POT for one of the shining stars in the SKY stable.   Up-and-coming racing journo Mitchell Hamilton showed all of his class to finish the month with a 49% POT. The Telegraph tipster found 11 winners at a meaty average price of $5.15. His tips will continue to be sought after for many years to come.   Another newspaper journalist who had a month to remember was Glenn McFarlane from the Herald Sun. The sports and racing writer excelled during the Spring Carnival, bagging 29 winners at a terrific strike rate of 41%. With great stats at Caulfield in particular, punters will only continue to follow McFarlane's Melbourne tips.   The final media tipster to earn a mention was none other than Jason Richardson. Racing.com's main man also had Spring Carnival to remember, after finding plenty of value for his followers. His 8 winners got home at an average price of $5.21, in a further example of Richo's ability to pick winners out of left field.
